A word from the Founder Secretary:
Since our very childhood we all have probably been taught and have come across a phrase 'Share and Care', but it took me almost 60years to appreciate the essence of it empirically. My memory goes back to my childhood days, when my mother used to narrate stories to me from Jatak Katha', till date I remember a small story that has touched my heart. Once upon a time a father, whose son died, took this corpse to Gautam Buddha and pleaded with him to put back his soul and make him alive again. After seeing the condition of the helpless father, Gautam Buddha replied that he could do so only if the father brought a handful of rice from a family who had not lost anyone from their family to death. With that handful of rice grain, he could put back the soul in the dead body of the boy The father of the son went from home to home and crossed village after village in search of a family who had never lost anyone to death. They told him their stories of how death took away someone from their family or distant relatives Some lost their mother, some lost their father, and some lost their child, or their grown up son. Finally, the father realized the truth of life, and came back full of wisdom to Gautam Buddha and said, "The world is full of sadness and misery and my sadness is nothing compared to them. I could not find a single family who has not lost anyone to death." In today's world innumerable families have been afflicted by cancer. We all have probably lost a near or dear one to this dreaded disease. Today, cancer has spread its tentacles all over the world and millions of people die due to cancer every year. I have been a musician and a music teacher for the last forty years and have met people students from all walks of life.

  • The organisation will conduct few programs in a year at prime auditoriums and will stage some of the leading performers from the eld along with a number of lesser known and budding artistes.
  • The organisation is now looking for individuals who are interested in serving the society through above means and give some of their valuable time in running the administrative duties and help to organise these functions.

Whatever I have done has been with passion and dedication and I don't consider myself to be exceptional. However, life has taught me many a thing and I have realized that I am moved by the suffering of the by the killer disease cancer. helpless people, especially the ones afflicted I actually feel that I must do something to help them financially. I am neither a doctor nor a businessman. I can only support them in my own way and, that is by organizing concerts. In my field I have seen people with immense potential and talent but an artist has his/her share of struggle and insecurity in the pursuit of getting recognized in the society as an artist. After having seen the most tremendous amount of frustrations, I had this overpowering urge to help out those artists, who deserve a stage and a good audience as a befitting response to their single minded perseverance and hours and hours of dedicated practice. I came up with this idea of forming a trust with the help of some likeminded people with the twin purpose of helping cancer afflicted children as well as providing a platform to the upcoming artists by organizing concerts. On the day of the concert, we invite some cancer afflicted children along with their families and make them feel special and share a part of the collection that comes from the concert with them. This is done by the small hands of our own children in front of the audience. This approach and process, amidst the sound of clapping, makes the afflicted children feel "cared for" and not alone in their helpless world, and all the other children experience the significance of "share and care". My appeal to all likeminded people, who look beyond themselves, is to come forward and extend their help and time to fight against this scourge. If we all stand together for this great cause and be able to save even a single child from cancer, we know that this mission is on the right pathway and our lives are fulfilling.
